Thanks for visiting the HILO PUBLIC LIBRARY FRIENDS. We are a volunteer organization based in Hilo, the largest town on the Big Island, officially known as the island of Hawaii, which is the largest island in the state of Hawaii.  This website is maintained by the Friends as a service to the patrons of the Hilo Public Library.


Hours of the Hilo Public Library

  • We are closed Sunday and Monday.
  • Tuesday: 11 AM --7 PM
  • Wednesday: 11 AM -- 7 PM
  • Thursday: 9 AM -- 5 PM
  • Friday: 10 AM -- 5 PM
  • Saturday: 9 AM -- 5 PM
